Shipping Policy

Shipping Price:

We are now offering Free Overnight Shipping on all orders with 4 or more whole lobsters. 

Address Validation:

Lobster Taxi will ship all products to the address submitted by the customer. If undeliverable or incorrect address is submitted, no refund or reshipment will be issued. Shipping to a closed business will also void the customer from any refund.

Signature Requirements:

All shipments that are delivered to a business require a signature.

All other shipments are sent no signature required.

Post Office Box:

No deliveries will be made to a Post Office Box.

Delivery Time:

Once shipments are passed to our carrier, UPS or FedEx, shipments are guaranteed to be delivered by the end of the day (11 pm local time) on the delivery date selected by the customer at checkout.

NOTE: Most shipments are delivered before the end of the day. If need to know the specific expected delivery time to your area please contact us for more information on your order.

Saturday Delivery:

We accept all orders for Saturday delivery and will use UPS or Fedex to deliver to that area. Unfortunately, in some cases Saturday delivery is not available with either carrier. Please contact us prior to placing your order to see if saturday delivery is available in your area. All Saturday deliveries will incur an additional weekend delivery fee per box of $16.

Tracking Information:

After you place your order, a tracking number will be generated on the ship date by UPS or Fedex and sent to you via email. This tracking number can be used to review the status of your shipment in transit, however this tracking number will not be valid for until the shipment is picked up from our facility at 7 pm EST. If after that time you are still not able to track the package, please contact our offices to speak with a representative.

Recipient Responsibility:

It is the customer's responsibility to receive the package(s) on the date of delivery. In the event the customer is not available to receive the package(s) Lobster Taxi reserves the right to refuse any refund or reshipment. It is the customer's responsibility to notify the recipient of these terms.

In the event that your package is delivered and something happens after left at the address, Lobster Taxi does not assume responsibility for the package. All shipments are sent with a Shipper Release clause meaning that as long as the driver feels comfortable leaving the package at the delivery address they will, without requiring a signature. This ensures that our shipments are received within a timely manner due to the perishable nature of our products.

If the recipient of a package refuses or denies delivery for any reason this forfeits any refund that may be available, this includes but is not limited to late delivery, damaged package, spoiled goods, etc.

Delayed Shipments:

If your order is delayed due to a FedEx error we will reship the order free of charge. If the order is delayed due to an act of god such as weather we can not refund or reship the order.

Cancelling or Modifying Shipments:

All orders can be cancelled or modified prior to the shipment date. Once a tracking number has been generated a cancellation penalty may apply and any modifications are subject to surcharges based on the type of modification being made.
